Financial Literacy Program U.S. Africa Free Enterprise Education Foundation in collaboration with Federal Reserve Board has embarked on Personal Financial Literacy training program. Our certified instructors conduct Money Smart Curriculum Training, created by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Course 1 – Bank on It This course will allow participants to make an important first step to building a better financial future for themselves and their family. This course will also ensure that participants understand the basics of personal finances. By the end of this course, participants will be able to build a relationship with a financial institution. Course 2 – Borrowing Basics By the end of this course, participants will be able to decide when and how to use credit. Course 3 – Check It Out By the end of this course, participants will be able to open and keep a checking account. Course 4 – Money Matters By the end of this course, participants will be able to prepare a personal budget. Course 5 – Pay Yourself First By the end of this course, participants will be able to recognize the importance of saving money. Course 6 - Keep It Safe By taking the Keep It Safe course, participants are taking a step toward building a better financial future for themselves and their family. This course provides general information on laws that protect consumers. By the end of this course, participants will be familiar with their rights as a banking consumer. Course 7 - To Your Credit This course provides general information on credit reports, ways to repair credit, and available resources. By the end of this course, participants will be familiar with importance of a credit history. Course 8 – Charge It Right This course allows participants to identify the costs and benefits of using a credit card. To achieve this objective, the participants will be able to: Course 9 – Loan to Own This course provides general information on consumer installment loans, including car loans. By the end of this course, participants will become familiar with the characteristics of consumer installment loans. Course 10 – Your Own Home By the end of this course, participants will be familiar with the process for getting homeownership financing. |
